Christmas Left-over Cookies

6th December 2019

Dear easipetcare friends,

This year, let your faithful canine companion enjoy some of the festive food using left overs that the rest of the family just could not manage, with our Leftover Christmas Paw Print Cookies <3

Ingredients:

  • 75g leftover turkey, shredded (141.5kcal)
  • 100g leftover mash, no seasoning (98kcal)
  • 87.5g flour (sesame flour, low fat is lowest in calories at 291kcal)
  • 75g leftover cooked vegetables (we would suggest 25g of parsnips (16.5kcal), carrots (7kcal) and Brussel sprouts (8.75kcal)
  • 14g of cranberries (2.1kcal)

This Christmas treat should not be fed on a regular basis or as alternative to a complete dog food, it is just something special for one meal on Christmas Day!

Method:
1. Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees (gas mark 4)
2. Line a baking tray with baking paper and set to one side
3. Mix the turkey, mashed potatoes and vegetable together in a bowl, gradually adding the flour to thicken the mixture so that you can make small balls
4. Place the balls onto the pre-prepared baking tray and fashion them into paw print (you can use our logo as a template if you like)
5. Add a small amount of cranberries on top of the cookies in whatever decorative manner you wish
6. Bake the cookies for 1 ½ hours and allow to stand until completely cooled before giving you pet
7. If your pet prefers crunchier foods, adjust the temperature to 150 degrees (gas mark 2) and cook for 2 hours or until cooked

8. ENJOY!

With very best wishes for the festive season,

Judy.xxx
