Why Neutering Your Kitty Cat is so Important

15th November 2016

We love cats more than anyone… black cats, ginger cats, Siberian cats… Persian cats…. and especially KitKats! 😉 That’s why we cat lovers at easipetcare believe that an essential part of being a responsible cat owner is getting your cuddly cat neutered before he or she can breed.

Without neutering, the UK’s cat population can quickly get out of control which is sadly what’s happening in and around our cities and especially in London right now :(. There are already thousands of unwanted Kitty Cats out there without a loving home or family to care for them, but we believe this could be prevented if owners neutered their kittens.

Cats Protection reports “there are thousands of unwanted, neglected and stray cats in London, yet their plight could have been easily been prevented by neutering”. A recent article about London’s ‘pet-crisis’ was also published on the Pet Gazette which reiterates this important message “The CPCG (Cat Population Control Group) believes, as highlighted in the report, there is a need for greater collaboration between animal welfare organisations, the veterinary profession, local authorities, housing associations and public services like social services to tackle this spiralling problem.

Neutering is a humane way of tackling the current ‘cat crisis’ and we want to encourage all of our cat owners to get on board with fixing this cat-astrophic problem. Overpopulation increases infectious disease and compromises cats’ welfare… so let’s work together on making our home a more pawspurrous place 🙂 We are showing our support by offering neutering services at truly affordable prices – ensuring as many cat owners as possible are able to protect their precious felines whilst also helping the issue of stray cat populations.

The idea of having your tiny new bundle of fluff go through an operation can be terrifying but at easipetcare we can assure you that our experienced and caring vets will make the experience as comfortable as possible for your precious pet. The operation for both male and female cats is very simple so there really is no reason to worry and at easipetcare you will be able to drop your cat off and pick them back up on the same day! 🙂

Here’s what some of our clients thought of their neutering experience at our practices:
