Because no one loves pictures of cute, fluffy and funny animals more than us, we want to share with you some of our favourite pawsome pets that are fur-ociously taking social media by storm! So move over Hollywood A-Listers, it’s all about these Pawllywood stars now!
This paw-sitively irresistible bundle of Pomeranian fluff has almost 20 million likes on facebook! Twenty-million! Im-paws-ible you may think, but not unsurprising given that Boo’s owner Irene is a facebook employee!
Known as ‘the world’s cutest dog’, Boo became popular in October 2010 after singer Ke$ha sent a tweet that she had a new boyfriend, linking to Boo’s facebook page! Noticing that Boo had 5 million Facebook fans at the time, a publisher approached Boo’s owner to write a picture book. In August 2011, Boo: The Life of the World’s Cutest Dog was published and its popularity saw it being published in ten different languages. A second book followed, Boo: Little Dog in the Big City, as well as calendars, children’s books and even his own stuffed animal collection- earning him a whopping $1million dollars per year!
This grumpy-looking kitty has more cattitude than Pop-star divas Jennifer Lopez and Miley Cyrus put together! But we, and the other 1.8 million Instagram followers, can’t resist her adorable expression and the hilarious memes of that grumpy face!
She rose to fame after a photograph of her was posted on social news website Reddit by her owner’s brother and parodies created from the photograph by Reddit users went viral. She is known for her permanently “grumpy” facial expression, which is caused by an underbite and feline dwarfism.
We just love how that face says it all…. ‘you have cat to be kitten me right now’?! Well we’re not 😉
If the adventures of these two, pampered bunny and owner, don’t melt your heart we don’t know what will!
Possibly the world’s most famous bunny (after Roger Rabbit of course), Wally the rabbit has been capturing the hearts of people around the world for over a year, until his owner Molly decided he needed a new companion to go on adventures with- a female English Angora rabbit named Suki.
The adventure stories of Wally and Molly quickly changed to a love story and we can’t resist keeping up to date with them in the hope of a whole Wally family!
This funny little fur ball has an impressive 2 million followers on Instagram and more celebrity friends than you could dream of!
However, Marnie hasn’t always lived a Puparazzi lifstyle. In 2012 Marnie was an abandoned pup living ruff on the streets of Connecticut before being found by animal control who took her to an animal shelter. Fur-tunately it was here that owner Shirley fell in love with her irresistible cuteness and adopted Marnie… and the rest is history!
Marnie is especially famous for her permanent head tilt to the left, a result of a brief case of vestibular disease.
The story of Jimmy and owner Rafael is both heartwarming and moving, and is one of our favourite stories of the close bond between man and man’s best friend – get your tissue ready!
On Rafael’s 30th birthday, his wife left him, taking their possessions and leaving him in an empty all-white apartment. The only thing she didn’t take with her was their bull terrier, Jimmy, whom she’d named after her favourite shoe designer: Jimmy Choo! The story continues… ‘with only his best friend Jimmy for company, Rafael found inspiration in his blank walls and started snapping photos of Jimmy Choo as he trotted and cavorted around the house in glee. Then, when Jimmy collapsed in happy exhaustion next to the white wall, on a whim Rafael grabbed a marker and drew a new world around his ginger-eared pup. Suddenly, Rafael felt his long-dormant inspiration—for drawing, for art, for life—returning.’
We hope you enjoy following our top pawsome pets and if you don’t already, make sure you follow us on instagram too! And if you aren’t on instagram yet, just think maybe your beloved pet could be the next… Meowly Cyrus!? 😉
