What is your favourite animal?

Dogs but I also really love goats!

At what age did you decide to work in the animal industry?

I’ve always loved animals from a young age but it was from about age 16 when I was looking at colleges and found I could study animal care & management and I’ve been working with animals ever since.

Do you have any pets of your own?

I currently have a dog, 6 cats, a guinea pig, a rabbit and a gold fish. I have also had many other pets in the past.

What is your favourite thing about working for easipetcare?

Everyone has the same love for animals as I do and are all very friendly. Also the high quality of veterinary care provided at a lower cost.

What is the funniest or most memorable experience you’ve had with a client?

I think it has to be when I was walking my own dog.
I bumped into one of my old clients, who’s dogs I used to walk and saved her from a pork chop fiasco. She was running around madly trying to get some fresh pork chops out of her beagles mouth, which she had stolen from one of the bins in the park. When I saw what was happening I called the dogs name and as luck would have it she dropped them and came running over to me to say hello! Phew!

If you had a different career what would it be?

Working abroad in a wildlife animal sanctuary.

What is the best piece of advice you would give to a pet owner or client?

Think carefully before getting a pet and learn all about their special requirements first. Love them unconditionally, get preventative treatments for them & adopt, don’t shop.

Do you or have you done any additional volunteer work with animals outside of work?

I’m currently not volunteering anywhere at the moment but in the past I have volunteered at a city farm/stables as well as a rabbit and guinea pig rescue.

What kind of animal do you think you are most like and why?

I wasn’t sure but my best friend told me I am most like a horse; friendly, sensible, polite & loves the outdoors. Long hikes and nature walks are their favourite pastimes but can give a kick if someone annoys them enough.
