World Record Breaking Dogs

26th August 2016

Dear easipetcare friends,

To celebrate National Dog Day 2016 we’ve put together a list of 5 superstar dogs who have topped the history books… and we’re not talking about Snoopy, Toto, Scooby Doo or Lassie! Because these amazing pooches are all Guinness World Record holding dogs who have, quite simply, achieved incredible things!

  1. LAIKA – Space cadet Laika was the first dog to travel into space on Russian spaceship Sputnik2 in November 1957.
  2. BLUEY – This Australian cattle dog lived to an incredible 29 years and 5 months which is a record unbeaten since 1939!
  3. SNUPPY – The Afghan hound puppy from Seoul in South Korea was the world’s first cloned dog, born in 25.04.2005 who lived until the age of 10.
  4. TIA – This incredible Neopolitan mastiff holds the world record for being a super mummy dog who had a litter of 24 puppies in November 2004!
  5. DOSHA – We know better than anyone how clumsy our four legged canines can be so take a bow for this mix-breed doggy who at the age of only 10 months was crowned with the World Record for ‘Most Fatal Incidents Survived by a Dog’. On 15th April 2003 this accident prone puppy was run over by a car, shot in the head by police officers (wanting to put her out of pain), then placed in a freezer only to be discovered 2 hours later by staff in an animal centre who found her alive and sitting upright!

So to all our easipetcare doggies and owners we wish you a very Happy National Dog Day!

Best wishes,

Judy. xxx
